Deposits are non-refundable. If you must cancel your booking, please give us a call as soon as possible and we can try to reschedule your appointment. Please try to provide us with as much notice as possible so that someone else doesn’t miss out. Changes within 2 hours will not be permitted.

We need as much notice as possible as we don’t want anyone to miss out on a slot. Give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate a different time! If the slot is available, then no problem! Changes within 2 hours will not be permitted.

The game itself is 60 minutes, however you should allow 90 minutes to go through waivers, story, take pictures, high five your friends or wallow in self-pity if that’s how you roll

We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before your booking time so that we can run through the rules and waivers with you.  If you arrive late, we may not be able to give you the full 60 minutes or you will not be allowed to enter at all.

Don’t worry! We are here to help you. We will give you a walkie talkie before you enter the room and you can ask us questions at any time! Some rooms give you a limit of clues that you can ask for, but feel free to talk to us as much as possible! If we see that you are spending too much time on the wrong path, we might throw you a nudge too 😉

Generally, we believe Escape Rooms are for everyone! We have had ages 8 – 80 previously and have found that your chances of escape are not connected to age. Children under the age of 10 years old may struggle with some of the puzzles however our team is here to help and we encourage anyone who is keen for adventure.

The Doctor’s Demons is relatively dark. It has disturbing themes and images inside the room which some people might find confronting or inappropriate, however it is all in good fun! We recommend children at the age of 12, however we have had children as young as 8 year old’s go through alone and put their elders to shame! It is a matter of individual preference, if you have any concerns we are happy to show you the room before hand so that you can make the call yourself.

Any children under the age of 16 not accompanied by an adult will need parental permissions to play. If you have any concerns, just contact the team and we can give some more information.

Never fear, when you book a room then it will only be for those you have booked. We won’t lock anybody else up with you. That would be weird.

Due to Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Regulations, we will NEVER lock you in. You can always get out at any time and our team will be watching you the whole time (not in a weird way).

Don’t worry, one of the owners is too! There will always be a way for you to get out on your own accord. The doors are never locked so you can leave at any time.  If you are concerned about small spaces, please give us a call and we can give you an idea of the space.  There are no crawl spaces, tight fits or any situation where you can’t get out.

We require a deposit online which is the cost of one person to protect your booking. You can then pay the remainder of your booking on arrival by cash or card.

Doctor’s Demons:  There are dark themes and some props in the room that might be confronting, however it is all in good fun and you are in no danger. The room is not strictly a ‘horror room’ (coming soon ) but there are some gross themes and gore which can be suspenseful and shocking. If you are concerned, please just give us a call.

Tekapo’s Temple: (Coming Soon) This room is an adventure room, no horror themes etc at all.  

We want you to be aware that the room was designed to have an optimal group of 2-6. If you want to play with more than six people, please call and we can accommodate you. You should have a very close group who are comfortable with cooperation and work together well so nobody is left out. Not to mention that the room is only so big and it can get a bit tight. For these reasons, we do not allow any more than 8 people in the room.

If you have more than 8 people, we recommend that you separate your group into two bookings. Lock in two sessions one after the other and try to get the best time!
